The history of Implenia dates back to 1866, when the predecessors of Batigroup were founded. A few years later, in 1872, Conrad Zschokke was established. Over the course of 140 years, the two organisations carried out countless exciting projects in Switzerland and abroad. We are very proud of their accomplishments. In March 2006, Batigroup and Zschokke merged to form Implenia, the largest construction services provider in Switzerland today, combining the fresh vitality of a new company and the long-standing expertise and experience of a traditional construction company.
Implenia is listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange and operates as a transparent company with open shareholder participation and over 6000 employees. Implenia has the financial, human, and material resources needed to carry out complex large-scale projects in Switzerland and in a number of select foreign markets. Implenia also boasts over 100 subsidiaries in Switzerland, allowing the company to always put the customers first by serving them on site expertly on their projects. Implenia’s integrated business model successfully incorporates every step of a project: from conception and planning to implementation, production, and facility management.
