The main work for lot 1B of the Rheinfelden power station involved the creation of a machine house, a work area on the Swiss side including entrance (mine tunnel), a connection to the German side and structural auxiliary facilities.
The main work for lot 1B of the Rheinfelden power station involved the creation of a machine house, a work area on the Swiss side including entrance (mine tunnel), a connection to the German side and structural auxiliary facilities.
The machine house is a reinforced concrete construction with four bulb turbines and a doping machine. Every bulb turbine has a turbine diameter of 6.50 metres.
The total structural width for a machine unit is 16.20 metres.
The excavation trench of the machine house is excavated under the protection of cofferdams and the ground injections.
